Privacy Policy
How AI Watermarks keeps image processing local and handles website usage and advertising data.
2026/07/14
Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how AI Watermarks handles information when you visit the website or use a watermark tool.
AI Watermarks is an independently operated personal website based in the United States and is available to users worldwide. The public contact point for privacy and legal questions is support@ai-watermarks.com.
Images and Watermark Content
The watermark tools process selected images and logos locally in your browser. We do not intentionally transmit or store the following on our servers:
- selected image or logo files;
- watermark text;
- original filenames; or
- generated previews and downloads.
The browser may temporarily keep these files in memory while the tool is open. Removing a file, resetting the tool, or closing the page releases that working data. Browser-based export normally removes embedded image metadata such as EXIF; do not rely on the output to preserve metadata.
Website Usage Data
Our hosting and security providers may process standard request information, such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, and error or security signals, to deliver and protect the website.
Depending on the production configuration, the site may load Google Analytics, Ahrefs Web Analytics, DataFast, OpenPanel, Plausible, Seline, and Umami. These services may process page URLs and referrers, timestamps, IP address or derived location, browser and device information, session or visitor identifiers, page views, link interactions, and other usage events according to their own configurations and policies. Some providers use cookies or browser storage, while others advertise cookieless measurement.
Watermark-specific events sent by our code are limited to coarse operational categories. We do not intentionally include image contents, logos, watermark text, filenames, or generated files in those custom events.
Advertising
The website is configured to support Google AdSense, but advertisements are not currently being served. If ad serving is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may receive information such as your IP address, browser or device information, page URL, ad interactions, cookie identifiers, and consent signals. This information may be used for ad delivery, measurement, frequency control, fraud prevention, and personalization where allowed.
Your image files and watermark contents are not supplied to AdSense for ad targeting.
Cookies and Consent
Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and functional site settings may use cookies or similar browser storage. Other analytics providers may use cookieless identifiers or process request and device information. See our Cookie Policy for details.
AI Watermarks does not currently provide a separate site-owned cookie preference panel. If ad serving is enabled, a provider-hosted consent message may be configured where required. You can use browser controls and Google advertising controls to limit or delete cookies. Google also describes its privacy practices.
Data Sharing and Retention
Website usage or advertising data may be processed by the hosting, security, analytics, and advertising providers described above, subject to their terms and our configurations. We do not sell your selected image files or watermark content.
Retention periods for provider data depend on each product's settings and policies. Because local image processing does not send your files to us, we have no server copy of those files to retain or delete.
Your Choices
You may disable or delete cookies in your browser, use Google advertising controls, or stop using the site. Depending on your location, applicable law may provide additional rights regarding personal data. Contact us to submit a request; we may need enough information to identify data associated with the request.
Children
The service is not directed to children under the age required to consent to online data processing in their location. Do not use the tools to process images unlawfully or without appropriate authority.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when our tools, providers, or legal requirements change. The date above shows the latest revision.
